Student Success

Since 1961, the tuba–euphonium studio at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has built a remarkable and enduring tradition of student success. Beginning with William J. Bell and continuing through Harvey Phillips to Daniel Perantoni, generations of students have gone on to earn positions in major orchestras, premier military bands, and leading institutions of higher education, establishing IU as one of the central training grounds for low brass in the United States.

This list represents only a portion of that legacy. If you would like to help us ensure its completeness by sharing names, dates, or updates, please contact Dr. Hightower.
